Forsaken railroad tracks amid massive sites abandoned to themselves: the freight train, once essential to manage the intense flow of industrial materials, has given way to derelict spaces filled with history. The trains’ strident noise has ceased, along with all the activity they once serviced. Yet it is inextricably related to this unreal, immense world, where buildings, now gutted of their workers and machinery, eternally resonate with the screeching on the tracks.

In this series, Franck Bohbot presents these abandoned sites, which, now deprived of The Train, their vital lymph, will undoubtedly make room for other projects. There will remain some rusty rails, unwavering imprints of the past, challenging the towers, the sports complexes, and the new neighbourhoods of today that will replace these industrial sites.
